Unlike other WiFi Finders in the app store, Oz WiFi doesnt rely on an internet connection in order to find hotspots. Instead, the locations are all stored inside the application. It works on both the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Oz WiFi features Australias largest database of free and paid WiFi hotspots, with over 1700 hotspots already added. The hotspots are gathered from Telstra, Optus, Azure, McDonalds, Internode, iiNet and much more.

Oz WiFi uses the GPS to find the nearest hotspots around you and calculates the distance, sorting by nearest first, as well as providing you a direct link to the hotspot in Google Maps. You can also manually search streets or suburbs for higher accuracy or pre trip planning.

Alternatively you can search by places. Places include airports, bars, cafes, hotels, hotzones, libraries, restaurants, shopping centres and stores. Searching places allows you to filter the nearest hotspots by a particular place, which makes filtering searches much more efficient.

Features

-Over 1700 hotspots from Telstra, Optus, Azure, McDonalds, Internode, iiNet and much more.

NOTE: This is not a real time WiFi scanner, its a database of locations to be used as a reference tool
